My two week blogging break has given me time to reset and refresh. I now have tons of ideas brewing for content in this new year. There’s nothing quite like a couple of weeks off from writing to get those creative juices flowing again!
Today I’m going to take you through the top ten posts of 2014, as well as some behind-the-scenes blog stats and new-to-me frugal blogs I discovered in 2014.
Blog Stats and Milestones
Number of Posts Published: 108 – That’s almost double the amount from 2013!
Cool Things that Happened in 2014:
Potential: The blog was our highest source of income for November and December. Crazy! This gives me peace of mind to know if there were ever a layoff in our future, the blog has the potential to produce enough income for us to get by. Granted, the increase in earnings was due to the holidays, so it won’t look like that every month, but the potential is still exciting.
Traffic: Almost 2 million people read the site in 2014! Okay, I’m rounding up here… by quite a bit. But technically that’s closer to two than one. So I think it still counts. 😉
Blogger to WordPress: I moved over from blogger to WordPress. And when I say “I,” I mean I hired the task out to a pro. Money well spent. My dashboard feels less limiting now and there are so many more possibilities in terms of customization when it comes to WordPress. I also gave the site a DIY redesign after the switch.
New Frugal Blogs Discovered in 2014:
